Where AI upskilling takes you

AI isn't just for developers. It's for every professional.

We train people for full-time careers in 10 sectors — none of them software development, none of them require a coding background. If you've worked in any of these before (or want to), PRIME is for you.

Explore all 10 sectors in detail

How PRIME works

Most programs train you, then send you out. We work with you to land a job — from day 1.

From the moment you enrol, two things happen at once: you start the AI training, and we start working with you to land a meaningful job.

This opportunity is what gave me hope, because previously I couldn't even get a single interview.

From a past cohort

A workshop session in progress.

Words from the people we've worked with.

  • My 8-year-old daughter comes home from school and sits beside me to watch the lectures. She knows all of the instructors now. You're not only teaching me — you're inspiring her.
    — Past graduate · mom of 8-year-old, 2024
  • For some women with children, we might not be ready to enter the workforce yet, but achieving the certificate and putting it on our wall is itself the goal. The confidence it brings — and the role model we can be for our kids — makes it worth it.
    — Past graduate · mother, 2024
  • Having a career coach was invaluable. The 1:1 sessions enhanced my resume and pointed me to resources I'd never have found on my own.
    — Past graduate, 2024
  • I was so proud of myself when I completed such an intensive course — because I joined with zero knowledge.
    — Past graduate, 2024
  • I completed a complex course at 95%, with good grades. I recognize that I have abilities — and above all, I improved my resilience.
    — Past graduate, 2024
  • Even when I felt like I was asking a dumb question, I was never judged. After this I know myself better — my limits and my capabilities. You're never too old or too busy to learn something new.
    — Past graduate · mom of 3, 2024
  • This is not just a course for me — it is so much more than that. It's been a way to learn, a community. I really appreciate the people.

Where graduates have landed

A few outcomes from past cohorts.

Each row is a real journey from a past graduate of our programs — paraphrased to protect privacy.

  • Promoted within a month.

A program graduate leveraged their new skills to earn a full-time role at their company within a month of finishing — moving from trainee to full-time team member.

  • First freelance contract at 19.

A 19-year-old newcomer to Canada secured her first paid contract shortly after graduating, putting her family's healthcare expertise to work in new ways.

  • From learner to teacher.

A graduate who'd been working in marketing went on to land a teaching role at a Vancouver bootcamp — passing forward what they'd learned.

  • Back to work after 8 years.

A mother who'd been out of the workforce for eight years rebuilt her skill set and her confidence — getting ready to step back in when her youngest started kindergarten.

For employers

Why employers hire from PRIME.

Pre-vetted, AI-fluent candidates. We handle screening, training, and post-hire coaching — and federal/provincial wage subsidies cover a chunk of salary for the first 3–6 months.

  • No recruitment cost. We do the screening, you interview.
  • Wage subsidies. BC: WorkBC, 12–26 weeks. Federal: CSJ, SWPP, LMDAs.
  • 12 months of post-hire coaching for both you and your new hire.
  • AI-fluent talent. Every grad leaves an "AI Manager" — the rest of your team is still figuring it out.

Eligibility

Is PRIME right for you?

We work with people who are ready to start a career. The criteria are sharp on purpose — when you fit, we work hard for you.

  • 18 or older

PRIME is open to adults 18 and older. We can't move forward at this time.
  • Currently living in Canada

PRIME supports people living in Canada. We can't move forward at this time.
  • Open work permit or permanent status

    Closed/employer-tied permits don't qualify.

PRIME requires an open work permit or permanent status. If your situation changes, please come back.
  • Ready to start work within 2–3 months

PRIME works with people who are ready to start now. Come back when the timing is right for you.
  • Forcibly displaced

Eligible: refugee · refugee claimant · GAR · PSR · CUAET · protected person · came-as-refugee-now-PR · open work permit (Gaza family pathway / special humanitarian / spouse open) · internationally displaced.

PRIME is designed specifically for forcibly displaced people.
  • English at CLB 6+

You can have most workplace conversations and write emails in English.

PRIME places clients in English-language workplaces and requires CLB 6 or higher. We'd recommend building your English skills first — your settlement organization can help.
  • Not currently employed full-time

PRIME is designed for people actively seeking work. If your situation changes, we'd love to hear from you at support@primecareers.ca.
  • Not a full-time student

    Unless graduating within 3 months.

PRIME works with people who are available to start work within 2–3 months. Please come back closer to your graduation date.
  • Stable housing

Stable housing is a requirement for PRIME. We want to make sure you're in a position to fully focus on your career. Please reach out to a settlement organization for housing support.

If you check most of these — please apply. Edge cases happen all the time and we'd rather hear about them than let you self-disqualify.

2-minute check. We respond within 1 business day.

Common questions.

  • Is this really free?

Yes. PRIME is funded by the Government of Canada, the Province of British Columbia, and the DIGITAL Supercluster. The value of services is about $5,400 per participant, and it costs you $0 — always. No hidden fees, no payback agreements.
  • Do I need to know how to code?

No. PRIME is no-code. We teach you to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, automation platforms) inside the work you already do — accounting, marketing, HR, project management, and more. If you're comfortable using a phone and a laptop, you can do this.
  • What if my English isn't perfect?

PRIME requires CLB 6 or higher — meaning you can have most workplace conversations and write emails in English. Your English doesn't need to be perfect. If your English is below CLB 6, LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) is a great place to start, then come back to us.
  • Will my refugee status be shared with the government?

No. Your application information stays inside our private system (Zoho CRM, hosted in Canada). We never share your status with IRCC or any government body. We only use the eligibility information to confirm you fit the program. Read our privacy policy for details.
  • What happens after I apply?

Within 1 business day, someone from our team — likely Yusuf — will email you to schedule a discovery call. The call is 20–30 minutes. We'll confirm eligibility, talk about your goals, and answer any questions. If we're a fit, you'll be enrolled in the next intake.
